2010: Ticket Questions / FAQ

Tue, Aug 18, 2009 at 2:09 PM

You have questions. We have answers. This forum topic will serve as our FFFAQ for FunFunFun Fest 2010.

DATES & TIMES:
FFF 2010 November 5, 6, 7: Most killer line up ever.
- Friday, November 5th: 5pm -10pm Kick off party with Weird Al and friends.
- Saturday, November 6th: 12pm-10pm.
- Sunday, November 7th: 12pm-10pm.

TICKETS:
Fun1 tickets and Fun2 tickets are SOLD OUT. We have plenty of other kick ass tickets available though in our store.

BASIC PRICING IS AS FOLLOWS:
- $75 Saturday / Sunday passes (same price as last year)
- $105 Full weekend passes (Friday-Sunday). This includes the newly added kickoff party on Friday evening.
- $35 Friday only (kickoff party with Weird Al Yankovic and friends)
- $25 Friday only for Fun1 (ticket lottery) purchasers.(kickoff party with Weird Al)
- $45 Saturday only
- $45 Sunday only
- $210 PIP Pass. For details on all the benefits click here.
- $PIP upgrades. You'll pay the difference between your ticket and the price of the PIP ticket.

We will also be offering upgrades to PIP for reg ticket holders, early bird ticket holders, and FUN ONE ticket holders. Please remember that PIP is very limited in quantity. Pay attention to the tickets link - it will get more and more detailed over time, loaded with options.

Single day passes for Saturday and Sunday, as well as limited Student Discounts, will go on sale on/around September 1st.

FUN ONE ticket holders: You will get a separate communication highlighting your options. We will continue to hook you up with options for ridin early with us. FUN ONE tickets were our biggest discount on 2 Day passes. We had not booked the 3rd day until after FUN ONE was complete. So FUN ONE customers will be offered further discounts on adding either PIP, Weird Al kick off, or both. That communication should come soon via email. Long live FUN ONE.

p.s. You're getting your kickoff + full weekend ticket for $85. The full price is now $105. That's quite a steal!

GOOD TO KNOW:

All tickets are will-call.
No tickets will be shipped out to you. This is to help make life easier for you.

What do I need to pick up my tickets?
The fastest way to pickup your tickets is to bring your ticket order receipt (the one with the barcode on it) and a photo ID matching the name on the order. You are required to pick up your own tickets. This way we get to say hi in person!

Is the festival at the same location as 2009?
Waterloo Park, oh yeah. And its going to be madness.

Are ins and outs allowed?
If you have a PIP, Kickoff + weekend or full weekend pass, yes. For single day passes, no ins and outs allowed.

What's the age limit?
Fun Fun Fun is an all ages show. You do have to be 21+ to drink or have one amazing fake ID (good enough to fool your own mother). Kids ages 7 and under will get in free. Their fake ID's would have to be pretty groundbreaking.

I want to upgrade to a Heineken PIP pass. How do I do it?
STARTING MONDAY Heineken PIP upgrades will be available on a very limited basis. Anyone is eligible for this upgrade. All you'll need to do is pay the difference between the ticket you purchased and the cost of the PIP ticket. In order to upgrade, you must call our office at 1-877-GND-CTRL (1-877-463-2875). Our hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm pacific. Please request your upgrade in the sexiest voice possible.

Heineken PIP: Are those offerings fo'real?
Yes. This year you will pick up your goodies on site. Also, the beer is all you can drink. We reserve the right to cut you off though if you act like a fool. We don't pity the fool.

How do I get my student discount?
Student Discounts are available online only. To get the discount, the student must show up to pick up tickets/wristbands with a valid student ID. If not, face embarrassment and denial and you'll have to pay the difference in exchange for the wristband(s).

Are you going to provide early bird will-call pick up this year:
Yes, absolutely. Stay tuned for more details.

Are you doing contests & giveaways this year?
As we do every year, we will support ticket giveaways and contests, including our legendary scavenger hunt leading up to the fest. We believe in providing as many ways as possible to get into see the show. Make sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter so you're in the know!

I live in 1985 and don't have internet access. Can I purchase tickets over the phone?
But of course! Please call us at 1-877-GND-CTRL (1-877-463-2875). Our hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm pacific. Operators are standing by!

Freeloaders:
Jumping the fence will be much harder this year. Sorry bros. Respect the GWAR and fellow fans -- shell out a few coins like everyone else did.

How much are student tickets? Are they not available during the early bird ticket sale?

Ok, I bought my tickets, but I'm still confused about how to obtain the student discount. It didn't give me the option for it at the check-out, so do I get a rebate at will call once I present my ID?

It says right on the ticket page __> Cut and paste:
"Student Discount: Available online only. To get the discount, the student MUST show up to pick up tickets/wristbands WITH valid student ID or will be denied the tickets and have to pay the difference in exchange for the wristbands."

In an attempt to avoid the tremendous lines at Will call on the first day, I would like to inquire as to an alternate method of wristband delivery such as mail or store pickup, espec for the Early Bird.
At check out it gives only one option, will call, which I fear means I will just have to get there super early to line up on the Trinity will call queue aka the Trail of Tears.

It says it's available online, but there is no option available for a student ticket. The information you c&p'd says that if you buy a student ticket online and don't have a student ID when you pick up the tickets then you will have to pay the difference.

I can see why the poster is confused as I am too, but I'm waiting to buy my tickets until the student tickets question is clarified.

Show hours will be announced with the schedule.

There are no student discounts on the Early Bird tickets. Student discounts will be offered as soon as regular tickets go on sale, but the discount will not be greater than that of the Early Bird...you know that whole gets the worm thing.

There are plans to ease the will call woes of you early birds. More information will be posted in the future.

I'm heading to Austin for a couple of days and was wondering if tickets were only available online at the moment or would I be able to purchase them at Waterloo or a different location?

Tickets are currently only available online. Once regular tickets go on sale, expect some local retailers to have some.

When/where will I be able to find information about parking, what is and is not allowed on the premises, etc? Most of this is common sense, I know, but I am a freak about knowing everything up front. Thanks.
