PIP worth it?
Just checking, I've been reading that there were some issues with the food vendors and running out of beer for PIPs in the past.... Does anyone who purchased PIP in the past think it's worth it this year? If you bought one in the past, will you again this year? why or why not?
(I have no doubt that it will get better, as it does each year.)

yes! Go for it, definitely worth it! I'm PIPing again this year. The swag is awesome, the beer running out was at the end of the day, and hopefully wont be a problem this year. Some of the food vendors were jerks about food options with the PIP coupons, but overall I really liked having so many choices for food. I passed up the jerk vendors and picked other food options. In the grand scheme of things, it wasnt a huge deal but I hope they address this with food vendors this year. You won't go hungry I promise! :-) See you on the PIP deck!

I would most definitely say it's worth it. I plan on buying a PIP pass this year. Last year I bought just a three day pass and by the end of it all the amount of money I spent on my ticket, beer, and food was more than the PIP pass.

Completely worth it. Last year was my first experience with PIP & have no regrets. The viewing decks were perfect & the refreshments were free-flowing. I would say the PIP improved my FFF experience.

I am glad everyone has such great things to say about the PIPs! As everyone else said the food issue was spotty, a couple vendors limited their menu to specific items and were confused about how things were suposed to work, this is being addressed this year to ensure PIPs eat what they want when they want. 2011 was by far the best PIP experience and the plan is to improve on that even more for 2012, all of the swag is great but I stand by the private bathrooms are THE best part, that and the addition of the PIP entrance at FFF6 made simple connivences the highlight with all the beer, swag, and food just icing on the PIP cake.

PIP "worth it" checklist as follows.
If you like:
drinking beer
eating food
doing those two previous items a number of times throughout each fest day
getting special swag
bathrooms that may still actually have water to wash your hands with after 4 p.m.
nice places to sit, elevated above the hoi polloi
..., then you'll probably like PIP. Ask your doctor today to find out if PIP might be right for you. Side effects may include elevated levels of comfiness and satisfaction, including repurchase of PIP at the next FFFF. -

Yeah I would say its worth it this will be my 4th year of PIP and I would not attend otherwise. it makes it a lot more enjoyable even when there are kinks its still pretty nice. It has gotten progressively better each year.
Nothing is ever going to be perfect but this is a lot better than the VIPs I've gotten for free for Lollapolooza in the past. -

I already bought my PIP pass for this year's fest. Last year It paid for itself in beer alone. It will however take a toll on your liver.

$325-$170=$155
$155/$7 a beer = 7.38 beers a day for three days
7.38 beers in 13hours a day will cover the costs
Food was spotty but if you drink 7 beers a day all the other stuff is basically free!!!
Good places to sit, some food, cool swag, free Honest teas and snacks.
By day three and hour 30 or so a place to sit is needed.
