What were your favorite stages last year? or years prior? why were they and do have any good stories?

My favorite stages last year, was definitely the hip hop / dj stage, stage 1 I think it was, everyone was really cool and it had a good crowd, also some amazing dancers. I loved the music at the indie stage but the crowd could have been more active, I just love hopping and dancing to the beat. The punk stage was bad ass, I saw Bad Brains best pit ever, during Left over crack my friends glasses broke. :( They fell to the ground but everyone was cool enough and helped look we found them and surprisingly the lenses were fine, note even a scratch, it was only the temple that was broken. The comedy stage was so laid back, I enjoyed it, and wish I had spent more time there.

So for the tl;dr folks:
My favorite stages: Hip hop and Punk.
Yours?

I'm gonna have to go with Punk stage, with a nod to the Hip hop as well. I say Punk stage because I crowd surfed for the first time(I don't care if you think I'm lame because I'm older than shit) to Bad Brains. In fact, I was the first idiot up, There's video of my raggedy ann body being passed around during the first songs. Also Stza from Leftover Crack(whom is a friend) kicked me in the chin for no reason. I later found out his idea of "no reason" is to start a fight in the pit. I love those guys.

I give a nod to the hip hop stage because I got to watch Kool Keith/Octagon with the singer from Dead Milkmen. He was cool as hell.

Awesome, who cares about age that is awesome.
I have never crowd surfed but I had the chance at bad brains, fuck everyone in that crowd surfed that day, I definitely need to get on that.

The punk stage fer sure, not only because Punk is my beachhouse, rock is my girlfriend, metal is my coffee etc etc but also because I feel that this genre is seriously underepresented at festivals. One of my fave things about a fest is finding new-to-me bands and my fave music is the heavy stuff, so if there are no heavy bands then I find no new-to-me heavy bands. Indie rock and hip hop are appreciated and enjoyed as well, but I can easily find them at ACL, Pitchfork, Coachella, and so on. The fact that FFF features and highlights fist-fighting whiskey swigging rock music is one of the reasons I love it so much.
