Back to reality (?)

I recently got back from an incredible vacation hitting up some of the National Parks I have not yet seen. Spent a little time in The Badlands and Yellowstone, but stayed in Glacier National Park and The Grand Tetons for about 2 weeks. More beautiful scenery than I thought possible. Crossing paths with bighorn sheep at 13,000ft, miles and miles of pristine hiking trails, sleeping under the stars listening to glacial runoff rivers. Perhaps the greatest feature was not having my computer with me, or more importantly, not being tethered to my cell phone! I did turn it on once (maybe to see who was genuinely concerned with my well-being) and to my surprise I had a job offer returning to a gig I was previously working with. Flash forward to driving straight back to Chicago (besides a required stop in Minneapolis to catch a Russian Circles show) then hopping on a plane to Raleigh to begin work in the Southeast. The job itself is monotonous, but it requires much travel across locations throughout the country. So here I am now at the tip of America's wang (Miami), heading up North for a few weeks. I have an opportunity to catch some shows coming up this weekend and wanted y'alls opinions on some options. Anyone have any advice on the following: Built to Spill (not a huge fan, but people must dig 'em for a reason), Pile, Saint Vitus/Weedeater (this is at the top of my list), maybe even Emmylou Harris. If you're with me still, thanks for reading, it's been awhile since I had some communication.

Oh and Baroness! Shit. Got the bad news about their tour bus. They are one of my favorite bands right now (LOVING Yellow&Green) and were a big draw for F3F and I am sad to hear that they won't be playing for a little while. I am glad they are all ok, and wish them a quick recovery to get out and do that shit they do.

I would definitely love to take a trip like that someday. Congrats on the new/old job! If it were me, I'd be at that St. Vitus show in a heartbeat: can't go wrong with the godfathers of doom!
