ACL 2012
well tomorrow is the official lineup release of the Austin City Limits Festival 2012. I'm already expecting huge disappointment. Been going to ACL the last 4 to 5 years but thinking this will be the my last. I use to enjoy this festival and I do see some acts worth checking out. It just seems like quality of the lineups have gone down and the prices have gone up.
My heart belongs to Fun Fun Fun Fest now. Better lineup, better priced, better people.
I'd be more jazzed if FFFF announced their line up tomorrow instead of the crummy ACL lineup.
Can we catch a leak please?

I'm assuming that Iggy at ACL means no Iggy at F3F...this, my friends, counts as a total bummer. I haven't seen Iggy since the mid '90s and I've never seen the Stooges.

I, too, was shocked to see Iggy and the Stooges on the ACL lineup. I've been hoping they'd play FFF. I dunno if I can muster up the gumption to purchase an ACL 1-day pass, tho.
I do have my early-bird FFF 3-day pass ready to go! Give us some lineup leaks, FFF!!!!

I don't feel the typical ACL crowd will truly appreciate iggy and the Stooges. That's why i'm sad that fff fest didn't book em. Anyways i am going to attempt to get a sunday pass for ACL specifically for Iggy.

Surprised by Iggy and The Stooges. Also nice to see some other acts on the bill. But still...not blown away. Thought some bands would be there that aren't there:
At The Drive-In
Beach House
etc.
Maybe FFFF will nab em up. I will still have fun at ACL. Just more excited about a certain fest in November.

I'm only slightly bitter b/c ACL booked Iggy and The Stooges this year but I've been begging fffff for 3 years now. >:O The rest of what I've heard of the ACL line up is meh. I echo the love of the ffff, he has become the king of my music fest heart.

Ever since I've been going to F3F (last three years in a row), it's been harder and harder to get jazzed about other fests. The only thing that's really caught my eye in the last couple years was this year's Coachella because of Refused, ATDI and Pulp. Other than that, other fests just seem like a pale imitation of F3F's goodness.

I agree last year was my first FFF instead of ACL. I made the right choice and will probably not got to ACL again.
