Last year the special viewing areas were quite a ways back from the stage. They were just platforms on risers that allowed for people to see over the heads of all the people who were up close, where the action was. We used them as shelter when it started raining. While I did not buy the PIP tickets last year, several of my friends did. And most of them spent more time hanging out with the rest of us "regular people" than they did in the PIP sections. Just sayin'...

    Thanks Rachel..I'll figure it out.
Eureeka, don't take what I said about Norman so seriously (if you did). I have several friends who went to school there and that town is exactly like my town. No disrepect towards you, or Norman.

just go with your gut feeling. it you're having to think this much about it, then maybe it's not something you really want to do?

Thanks for your input. Free beer is nice, but I am not much of a heavy drinker at shows. Like you said, I want to remember my time there and not have to pee or be in a horrible drunken state of mind. I go to concerts for music and not for booze, etc.. From what you are saying, it sounds like this special viewing section isn't that special after all... hmmmm...
Norman OK huh? Been there once. It was "amazing"... ;)
Thanks again for your opinion! This was what I was looking for.

to me pip wouldnt really be worth it..but im not real rich. ive gotten so many free vip passes from people and typically the bands want nothing to do with people sitting back there, the veiwing areas are hardly in veiw of the stage, they have 1 kind of beer, the food is cheap, you dont actually receive free stuff..ect..its usually just a way for people to feel like they are better than everyone else..and everyone else just looks at them like they are idiots for paying so much to be separated from the majority.. i just think you could have really nice meals for the same price and drink the alcohol you want to drink...i mean who wants to get wasted in the middle of the day anyway, by the time the fest is over for the night your ready to pass out, you dont remember half the bands you saw, and you're too tired to go out and have a good time afterwards.. i should have just posted this last half on my own page..oh well.
