Corman's World (Film Review)
Last night I got a chance to watch “Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel”. First, I am a huge fan of exploitation films and Roger Corman is the king of the genre. I remember watching “Death Race 2000” and “Rock N Roll High School” back in the day. Those films did not take themselves seriously and were a fun ride. If you have not yet seen “Black Dynamite” you should really check it out. It is great modern take on the exploitation film and done really well. After watching “Corman’s World” I’ve realized that I haven’t even scratched the surface of his body of work. If you get a chance I would recommend this documentary as a great look at the history of low budget film making at its best. Keep it up Roger there is plenty of room for one more half-shark-half-alligator movie on the Syfy channel. Cue the Doctor Octagon song!

I understand what you mean Inky. I haven't seen the cartoon but feel that might be a little much. I still crack up every time I see the movie though. Phillip I plan on watching the Poe films very soon.

ahhh yeah! Love me some Corman movies! I need to see this documentary. Black Dynamite is ok, not that great, but that may be because i am tired of the whole "retro" explotation revival at the moment

I've always loved Corman! As a filmmaker, he's basically my patron saint. I love his exploitation flicks but the Poe adaptations will always have a prime place in my heart. I definitely need to see this doc!
