Black Stage
.... Going through the black stage, and I'm shocked at how far down the list I am, and have still heard little punk rock (other than the obvious X). Did anyone else feel like this when they were perusing the Black Stage Bands? Like I thought that shit was suppose to be some REAL punk and REAL metal. Half of these bands sound like they are like alternative rock or something... I'm sad to say, I'm a little disappointed in what I've heard so far. Hopefully the end won't fail me!

If anything, I think that the only kind of punk/metal rather under-represented is old skool. We've got OFF! (anything with Keith counts as old skool), X, Youth of Today, NoMeansNo and the Dwarves for punk and Napalm Death and Brutal Truth for metal (that's really the only bands I could call old skool metal this year, although others might disagree). I definitely think we could have used at least another old skool metal band but I'm generally pretty happy. Besides which, Refused will be more punk than the last five Warped Tours combined. I'm definitely stoked!

I would even throw Turbonegro in there and of course OFF!, so there are actually quite a few punk acts on this bill. All the alternative shit is on the Orange stage, in my opinion. Can we please stop booking Trail Of The Dead? What the fuck, they've played F3F like three times and I haven't cared since 2002!

Fucked Up can be considered punk as well

Refused, Lagwagon, Riverboat Gamblers for punk(confused as to what your definition of punk is because I think X is pretty tame compared to some of the others on the black stage). Valient Thorr, Torche, Powertrip, Red Fang for metal.
