My top 5 Mike Patton albums
So since Tomahawk is playing this year for F3F which to me is a deal breaker, one of my favorite projects by one of my favorite artists I was thinking of my favorite Patton albums so here they are in order:
#1:

This is my favorite album to just relax and chill out to... its beautiful for what it does and I'm pretty sure its made its own genre "Lounge-core-sleaze"
#2:

Love to skate to this album back in the day and now it still inspires me to get up and get outside and get sweaty, bruised and broken up
#3:

Mike meet my friend pop music... do your best Brian Wilson
#4:

Much like Lovage its another one I listen to when I just want to chill
#5:

Probably their most "friendly" album and also my favorite namely because it was basically the Mike Patton version of RHCP's "Californication" to me as well as sparked a feud between Patton and RHCP which was magnified by Mr Bungle "covering" RHCP at a show on Halloween. Hahah.
SOOO
I know you all have to have some favorites... post em and lets tell each other why we feel that way.

Couldn't agree more! Everything that he does is united by his pretty singular voice and level of quality but is otherwise as different as could be. If anything, I would say that Mr. Bungle has the greatest tendency to seep into other projects over time, but that would only make sense since it was the OG Patton project.

yeah it is a testament to to his work ethic that everything I listed and we all listed were basically different bands / projects

Romances -- Kaada and Mike Patton that is another haunting album as well.

Man...really hard to argue with your list, Jesse...some great choices there! Here's my list, but writing about Patton and making lists about him is so hard: he's literally the most important vocalist in my life!
1. Angel Dust -- I love King for a Day, but I worship Angel Dust. This album changed my life in so many ways and still contains my favorite Patton vocals.
2.Mr. Bungle -- I played this so much in high school that I actually had to buy another copy. "Girls of Porn" is my favorite non-FNM Patton song and was our official cruising song. Everything about this album is genius and influenced so many bands it's hard to keep 'em straight.
3.California -- "Pink Cigarette" is my second favorite non-FNM Patton song. This album is beautiful, scary and utterly enchanting. I'm so lucky to have seen them twice on this tour.
4.Mondo Cane/Peeping Tom -- I feel like I cheated here but I honestly couldn't pick one over the other. Mondo Cane is some of Patton's best pure vocal work ever. It's awe-inspiring to see him go to town on traditional Italian pop tunes. Peeping Tom is his most musically-varied, rock-oriented work since FNM. "We're Not Alone," with Dub Trio, kicks major ass.
5.Live at the Brixton Academy -- The version of "From Out of Nowhere" on this FNM live album is my single favorite FNM song ever. I play it at least once a day and have done so for twenty years. This is the sound of Patton and FNM vital, hungry and ready to rip the world a new asshole. It's one of the best live albums ever and should be required listening for everyone. The accompanying live video is the greatest live video ever, btw.
Bonus choice: Phoenix Rising -- I didn't put this in the official list since it's a bootleg. If Live at the Brixton is the best early FNM, then Phoenix is the best '90s FNM. Recorded before one of their biggest European festival audiences, the show is snarky, funny, powerful and long. The perfect FNN show. Of all my FNM bootlegs, this is definitely my favorite.
Whew...that was a hard one, Jesse!

Faith No More is always a good pick.
