Jesse Woods - He's currently local to Austin, and native to Houston. His stuff is poignant and sometimes haunting; folky, but not this pop folk that's run its course of late.
I know I know, he played football at A&M, but srsly guys. LISTEN. I went to A&M too, and it's not all that bad. I came out with the best friends imagineable, who all know tons of good music, play good music, or work in the industry. It's a weird amalgam of things, like me. Also it was cheap, but I'm just gonna leave that one be.
