Widowspeak/Active Child

So, this weekend I made a Spotify playlist featuring all of the bands who were initially announced to play after-shows. Then, yesterday the official after-show schedule came out and a band or two who was on the first list was no where to be found. One such band is, Brooklyn group, Widowspeak. I purchased their LP at End of an Ear after listening to it whilst making that playlist and I completely fell in love. Sonically they are somewhere between Best Coast and Mazzy Star. In other words, they're completely fucking awesome and you should check them out in spite of their non-FunFunFun Fest-age.

On the other end of the spectrum we have Active Child. There is no mention on anything official from Fx3 HQ regarding Active Child whatsoever. However, I happen to know that M83 and Active Child are touring together, so I did a bit of research and I noticed on Active Child's tour page is a listing for FunFunFun Fest on Saturday. I find that very interesting. I'm thinking, perhaps, there will be a Nites show at Beauty Bar? What are your thoughts on these matters?

between Best Coast and Mazy Star? You're speaking my language. Now I'm going to check them out and then surely be disappointed along with you that they won't be at FFF.
