ASL - AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE
Not age, sex and location. ;) I've been taking a weekly Signing Exact English course and I'm loving it. I have also been taking an informal American Sign Language course and self-teaching. It's very humbling and makes me even more grateful to be a hearing person. Imagine not being able to hear any of the bands at FFF Fest? I shudder to think.
I started on this journey after being chosen as an artist for Art Chicas, via La Reunion TX, and requesting to mentor 4 chicas through the Deaf Action Center. They are an integral part of the performance-based art installation that I've put together. It's the stuff that feelgood is made of!
Is anyone here proficient in either of these languages?

I'm not even that good with spoken/written English, Bonnie! D:
I recall seeing Kiss when they did their first tour back in makeup back around 1995 or 1996 at the Alamodome in SA, and watching the interpreter there sign the lyrics for Love Gun was really cool.

I am not proficient in (acceptable) sign language, but I think it is very cool that you're learning...and I am very thankful to be able to hear.
