Alright, ATR!
okay, so i just got my ticket for Atari Teenage Riot's show for when they arrive in Austin on September 27. i gotta admit, i'm very excited! i get to see a band that has been practically dead for about a decade and has decided to start doing shows again....but this makes me wonder something. half of the lineup is gone, and it makes me wonder if the same vibe will be at the show. Have any of you guys out there reading this seen them live lately? Do they have the same intense show before they split? Now, remember: i'm not disapproving of the new guy in the band, and i trust the band's decisions on choosing CX KiDTRONiK to replace Carl Crack practically. (i hate that I used the word "replace," but i also didn't know what other word to use. sorry....) i do believe that this is also a good time for a pissed-off political band to come up and say something. but i also wanna ask something else: am i the only austinite who's this curious about this?

I saw them in '99 or 2000 at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA. They put on a fun show back then, curious (as you are) about how the shows are now with the lineup change... Let us know! :)

Hell yes! I saw ATR back in ATX a long time ago with Rage Against the Machine and the Roots (Wu Tang was supposed to play). They were amazing and no one knew... I am hoping you get some good feedback on this one. KiD is a great guy! Hung with him after the Saul Williams show. I am sure he will bring it!
