Working the gate, day1
This is going to be the very very short version of my day. After dancing the night away wednesday, and being blown away by the Walkmen thursday, come friday, my legs were SORE. Very sore. Probably not the best thing when you have to stand for 10 hours but whatev. I worked as a ticket scanner for the side entrance, which thankfully wasn't super busy. It was also very laidback. I demanded that my half hour lunch be at 5pm, so that I could escape to see the last half of phoenix's set. The entrance I was in was between the xbox 360 and amd stage, so I could hear the acts on both. I got an encore performance of the walkmen and when lunchtime rolled around, joined a crowd of thousands to see phoenix. For the record, they're phenomonal. They just seemed so happy to be playing their music, so thankful people want to hear it. It would've been great if I wasn't dying from sore leg syndrome. Aside from that, the people were cool, the music I heard was mostly awesome and it was hot.

Dang, at first I thought you having a lunch break at 5pm was ridiculous, but now I totally understand why. I missed Pheonix and Bonnaroo and it was very upsetting to me. I'd also love, love to see the Walkmen live one day! Boo on your hurting legs, but at least it was worth it for the most part!
