Why is everybody all gay about Slayer? It's all about Slayer this or Slayer that. I don't get it and idgaf about Slayer. They can suck my balls on my dildo. There are a lot of other waaaay better bands playing. I'm sure there will be some metal heads who get all butt hurt about me hating on Slayer but guess what? Idgaf about you either.

kthxbyeeeeee

You know what? I kinda don't mind slayer. I think they have some good songs. You know what I do hate? Brainless slayer fans. It's not ironic and funny to say "Fuckin slayer." And what the fuck place does a metal fan have calling someone else a douchebag?

tonignosis: I do have the right to not like Slayer. And you have the right to disagree with my opinion. However, by your logic, you are also a douchebag since you devoted a comment to how much you don’t like me or my opinion. If you need to find a way to rationalize that I don’t like Slayer into being because I want to be “ultra-cool,” it’s a matter of whatever helps you sleep at night. It all boils down to personal taste and not my appearance to others.

Cheezyball: For being a Slayer fan, thanks for taking my blog with a grain of salt. I appreciate it when people don’t get overly upset about something that challenges what they like. Good man.

Brrrrrent : Musical tastes set aside, I’m sure that technically Slayer is a good band. I’m also sure Slayer wouldn’t mind sucking the balls of my dildo. My contention lies with the lineup in general this year since in past lineups at FFFF music at the black stage has traditionally had a lot of really good punk music. One wonder that has crossed my mind is if because of the different lineup this year if FFFF is moving in a different direction musically than it has in the past. The new location may have also put some pressure on them to sell more tickets. Perhaps as many punks can’t afford to go to the fest? I know I had to make some sacrifices to go and bought the early 2 day tickets (also while I was still under the impression that X was still playing which they didn’t say they weren’t until a couple days after those tickets were released I believe). Perhaps I am wrong but like I said, it did cross my mind. Whenever I have inquired about the lineup and what it means for the fest, all the responses I have gotten have been similar, as simple of a response as SLAYERRRRRR!!!! or you should go to ACL cuz you’re a hipster. I wasn't aware that because I don't like Slayer that that makes me a hipster. If that's the case then my mother is a hipster as well. The FFF community just hasn’t felt the same. This blog is in response to that. I'm just tired of it.

Byrone: I like to keep it real.

Sergio: I think they are just adorable. I’d love to pinch those angry little metal cheeks.

It's seems sometimes people like to hate on popular bands because they mistakenly believe it makes them ultra-cool. That being said, you have the right to NOT like Slayer, but it makes you look like a douchebag to devote a blog to how much you don't like them.

You don't have to like a certain band. It's all about taste. But it is good to respect a band who has done so much for their respected scene/style.

PS Dave Lombardo might be the best drummer at the Fest. The dude is good!

I do not listen to slayer, and I agree that there are much more musically talented bands elsewhere at FFF, but because slayer is a household name, and just for the fact that you can say you were at a show with slayer I feel its a good thing. When people are honestly going to FFF just to see slayer, I wouldn't bash them, I'd just think it was cute.

I'm not really a fan of any metal, but, I mean... there's probably a reason they're a headliner... I'm guessing it's because people like them
