bus vs taxi vs parking

buses
how late do the buses run in austin? i've lived here for 5 years and have only taken the bus 2 times. i dont even know how to read the bus schedule...or find it. i live by zilker. is there a bus that will take me to auditorium shores, then downtown after fun fun fun fest?

taxis
ive tried taking a taxi during sxsw, new years, and halloween to no avail. it seems that when there is a holiday or event going on in austin that it is impossible to take a taxi. every time i have tried they give me a time they will show up and then never arrive. will there be the same issues during fun fun fun fest?

parking
i never had an issue with parking when the fest was at waterloo. will the parking really be that horrible at auditorium shores? i've never gone to any events there. also, does anyone know if you will have to pay to park?
