Dinosaur Jr. and the After-Funk
Have fun plans tonight! Taking Lauren to see Dinosaur Jr at the beautiful Neptune Theatre (where we saw Amanda Palmer). She's a big fan of J. Mascis' style, and her getting stoked gets me stoked. Music-wise, I'm more excited for heading to the Kraken afterwards - also in the University District - for two Good to Die bands, Monogamy Party & Rabbits. Rabbits gained some notoriety a year or two ago for releasing a full-length on Relapse Records, very cool to see their new record is on G2D. Monogamy Party is poised to take over the NW Post-Punk scene, so keep yr eyes peeled for these monsters!
