Put down that chainsaw...

I've lived here for 3 years. I was too broke for FFFF in 2007. In 2008 we went to ACL, and we hated it so much we left early. I don't usually like huge concerts, it seems to be filled with people who are into seeing "live music." Not people who are super into the band or the musical movement that that show represents. I roll my eyes at Austin's self imposed "live music capital of the world" label because while there may be an abundance of live music, I think most of it sucks. The lineup for this years FFFF brings a tear to my eye and makes me proud that I live in Austin. This isn't some traveling gig that just happens to be stopping in the Texas capital, but a show born out of the minds, dreams, and efforts of Austin. So quit your whining about ticket prices, this is better than any other thing that will happen to you this year.
It's time for us to join in the fight. It's time to let your babies grow up to be cowboys. It's time to let the bedbugs bite.
