speaking as a SATX resident, I've always enjoying Zen and some of the other ethnic restaurants on Guadalupe but they can be more for the kids at UT and their guests. Jackalope is one of my favorite watering holes but overall 6th (west) can be a bit overrated. otherwise skatie is right, the food trailers are usually damn good (primarily east of I-35). love to hear what the ATX natives have to say.
