Explain To Me...
This is my first time to FFF so I'm curious. How do they pull off the back-to-back-to-back sets? No sound checks? Gear take down/set-up? Even if they have the sound worked out ahead of time and back-line like crazy, I don't see how they can keep to those set times. How has it been in years past? Do they keep on schedule? Do all the artists just play 10-15 minutes less than their allotted time?

just be prepared that most bands that know how festivals work have learned to save the best song for last or else most people will leave for another stage after they've heard it.

Dual Stages can be great time-wise, except that you may miss out seeing your favorite artist even if you are front row, last year the dirty projectors were playing and i could not see them due to my height. . I am hoping for one stage this year, sorry guys.

Yeah, they have done this dual-stage thing the last 3 FFFs, anyway, on the two big stages (Black and Orange; shoutout to my man, Black Stage!). The Blue and Yellow stages have been smaller and just done very fast tear-downs/set-ups between bands on those two stages. This year, who knows, it's new at the shore!

yeah what fabian said. and its super sick because if youre extra stoked for one band you can camp that side of the stage and still listen to a good band while you wait!!

they have the stages spit up so that one band is playing on the right side of the stage while the next band sets up their gear and such.
