Got tickets to see Rammstein in May (floor tickets no less). and if that didn't make me happy enough, I picked up two weekend passes for F3Fest already. I love early bird. hopefully this year I won't have to eat my spare. keep being awesome fellow Festees!

I'm so jealous! I've only seen Rammstein once, when they were part of the Family Values tour in '98 or so (hey, quit throwing things! I was young and liked to drink...a lot!) and I can still remember how blazing hot the arena was from all the pyro. Since then, they've managed to consistently put out great albums (I dearly love Rosenrot), even if I can't understand most of the lyrics. This will be an amazing show, no doubt!

IIRC, this was the In Your Face tour, which had a European leg followed by a US leg (Austin was the first stop on the US leg). For the European leg, KMFDM opened for Rammstein because Rammstein had the bigger following in Europe in '97. For the US leg, they switch and Rammstein opened for KMFDM since KMFDM had the bigger following in the US (in 1997). It goes without saying (and I'm gonna say it) that I was really impressed with Rammstein at that show, though I wasn't sure if the flaming jacket was going to burn the club down... Thankfully it didn't!
I can't imagine how big Rammstein's stage production must be now, I bet it'll be a great show!
