Two weeks after FFF7, the 2012 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix will be in full-effect at the new (almost completed by now, hopefully) Circuit of the America's track just outside of Austin. There's been different kinds of drama popping up on this ever since it was announced that F1 wanted to come to Austin. Some folks have environmental, traffic, and quality-of-life concerns, there was a question of if the state handed over funds without proper consideration/oversight, and some lawsuits and contract disputes among the entities trying to bring F1 to the ATX. I'm still confused/amazed that Austin was a candidate location for the US Grand Prix, much less became settled on as *the* location. I am actually VERY excited about the prospect that Moto GP may come race on this track in the future.

That said, I've got my ticket for the 2012 F1 US Grand Prix! :)
