I agree with Jesse: baking cliffhangers are a sure-fire way to end up with house guests. I don't really do a lot of hanging out either, to be honest: a lot of my friends moved away after we graduated from school this past May, so I mostly hang out with my wife. Luckily, we actually enjoy hanging out together, so that works out pretty well.
I think you should be like "dude you should see what I'm baking, this shit is epic....." and leave it there like a breaking bad cliff hanger... then they come by and youre not baking at all but rather making a rather sweet stir fry.
