back in houston after my third funfunfun fest. fucking epic, fucking awesome, fucking life-altering!! my neck is killing me, my ears are still ringing, i'm laughing at all the "i'm so jealous" comments from my friends who missed out and i'm still humming the descendents and the vandals!

fff fest holds a very special place in my heart because this is where i first spotted the hot, mohawk'd dude who would later become the love of my life. three years ago, i saw him in the pit at every set i was at. a couple months later, i met his friends in houston and got them to introduce us. we have now been to two funfunfuns together. we jokingly refer to fff fest as our stalker anniversary.

anyway, here's who we saw this year: the descendents, the vandals + derek grant from alk3, bad religion, the casualties, suicidal tendencies, the hold steady, the bronx, mariachi el bronx, gwar, high on fire, dwarves, the very end of mastadon, a little bit of deerhunter, a little bit of floor, a little bit of kylesa, a little bit of ringworm and some of the anarchy championship wrestling. :) :) :)

seriously, seeing the descendents and the vandals were highlights of my life. my boyfriend and i used the pit during the descendents to get way up front! during the vandals, my man was tearing shit up in the pit and i was at the VERY FRONT! i snagged the vandals set list for my man too! stood in line way too long to get the descendents to sign shit, but time ran out before we made it to the front. somehow, some random chick and i sneakily got milo signatures as he was walking off. i got my boyfriend's descendents shirt signed. he says i'm the best girlfriend ever. best fest ever. ugh gotta go put the heating pad on my neck.
