vacation day of recovery
I was smart enough this year to put in a vacation request waaaay in advance for the Monday after FFF. Yeah, I'm not getting any younger and I need a day of recovery.
early vacation request = Vacation Day APPROVED!

I do it too. I got my Monday off approved back in April, only to end up losing my job a little over a month later! Now I'm going in to interviews with these bogus stories about how I'll need that date off due to a pre-arranged family commitment.

lol, i do the same. only my monday off is more for the drive home, which is about 6hrs. I went in '08 thinking i could drive home that sunday night. Ended up leaving austin sometime after midnight, got home around 6, slept for an hour then went to work. it was good times but i was exhausted
