sorta weird
so i got the stanley flask with my points (finally we can buy stuff if you don't have a shit ton of points) and it says we pick it up any day of the fest. then it says don't sneak it in. that makes no sense since we all have to hoof it like camels all over town for three days. so i'm supposed to pick it up but not carry it with me? i have the feeling tons of other people have thought of this and have various ideas on what to do with their flask. maybe pick it up after leaving the fest but on the way to nites? works well cause there is a twin liquors on red river. a bunch of folks can pitch in and fill their flasks in the parking lot, perfect!
at any rate, i'm still waiting on my friday early bird wristband (it was mailed out on the 20th apparently. HURRY THE HELL UP MAILMAN). the boyfriend's weekend pass came in first. then my saturday and sunday early bird wristbands. and then i'll have another. how strange that all the early bird folks have to wear three fucking wristbands. does that make us extra awesome? it better cause those bitches are gonna be tore up by the end of the weekend.
so, i'm moving this weekend and then we're gonna have some funfest and then i have a tattoo appointment on the 7th. great next few weeks for sure!
SOMETHING THAT I JUST THOUGHT OF: everyone uses fancy phones (for the most part) that don't hold charges all day cause we're taking pictures and posting shit online. has funfest thought to put a place where you can charge your phone? just a spot with a shit ton of power strips where you can drink your beer in the shade while you charge your phone or other electronics? that would be amazing because i don't have a separate camera and i want to get lots of photos. and i want to post on twitter all the cool shows i'm seeing. but my phone will die before nites starts and then how the hell will i know where to go?? come on funfest genies, help me out!

yea i plan to limit my phone usage during the fest. Maybe take a few pics every once in a while. Also i'll turn down the screen brightness in hopes that the battery won't die so quickly. But a charge station would be nice. I could be chargin' while im munching on some bbq sammiches!

The phone charging station is a great idea!
Its possible that they wont know if you have an empty flask in your pocket, I mean it might be fine as long as its empty and brand new.

Since they are supplying the flasks... I'm sure theyrw cool with people carrying in there... I think they are just saying to not fill it up and bring back in later or on another day.

I got the water bottle and it says it's OK to bring an empty water bottle, so I'm assuming that's going to be OK to bring in? I didn't see the don't sneak 'em in part. Good call about the phone chargers.

Taking the flask to the Nites shows is an intriguing idea. As for the phones, I bought two extra batteries for my phone off of amazon.com for a total of $10, so I can reload when my phone dies. But if you have an iphone, that won't work. You can buy piggyback batteries for iphones, but I think they're kind of pricey.
