"Day of the Dead down in Mexico, you and the dead on a holiday."
I had a great time helping friends with their sugar skull activity at the Port Isabel Museum's Day of the Dead festival. I had to be constantly on guard to keep kids participating in the activity from putting the colored royal frosting into their mouths instead of on the sugar skulls where it belonged. I can't blame them too much because the royal frosting does taste good; however, I was fortunate that I didn't have to rely on just the royal frosting to get through the day. Food vendors were offering aguas frescas, mexican candies, elote rostizado, and even memelas (Oaxacan pizza)!
After we had helped the last child decorate the last sugar skull, I sat down with a memela and an agua fresca de limon to enjoy an evening of music and a stage play about La Llorona.

It would be awesome if a vendor provided aguas frescas at FFF6, but I can guarantee you that if they did, it would be a great deal more than the dollar i spent for mine.

Thanks, but I owe most of the credit to Instagram filters.
